Pan American Volleyball Union, UPV, announces countries qualified for Women’s and Men’s Volleyball in Santiago 2023

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 29, 2023 – The Pan American Volleyball Union, UPV, announces the list of countries qualified for the Volleyball Tournaments in both genders to compete at  the XX Pan American Games Santiago 2023, to be held in Chile from October 20 to November 5.

In compliance with the qualification system established by both the North, Central America, and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation – NORCECA – as well as the South American Volleyball Confederation – CSV – the teams that will be competing in the Women’s and Men’s Volleyball tournaments have been determined.

In the Women’s division, the qualified teams from the NORCECA zone are the Dominican Republic (Final Six 2021), Mexico (I Junior Pan American Games Cali 2021), Puerto Rico (2023 Pan American Cup), and Cuba (NORCECA Ranking). From the South American zone, Chile (host), Brazil (I Junior Pan American Games Cali 2021), Colombia, and Argentina (both CSV Ranking).

The qualified teams for the Men’s Volleyball tournament representing NORCECA are Mexico (Final Six 2021), Dominican Republic (I Junior Pan American Games Cali 2021), Cuba (2022 Pan American Cup), and Puerto Rico (2023 Pan American Cup). Representing the South American Volleyball Confederation are Chile (host), Brazil (I Junior Pan American Games Cali 2021), Argentina, and Colombia (both CSV Ranking).
