Puerto Rico beats The U.S.

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 5, 2022 – In a close game from start to finish, Puerto obtained its second victory of the Final Six by defeating the United States 25-22, 28-26, 21-25, 25-20 in the second match of the day on Monday.

A shot from veteran Karina Ocasio gave “Las Nenas” the point they needed to win the first set 25-22 and show them the path to victory on the second date of the fair.

Those led by Fernando Morales extended their unbeaten record to 2-0 and the Americans, who in their debut accounted for Canada 3-0, are now 1-1.

Puerto Rico celebrates beating USA

Morales, in turn, declared that the team defended and had a consistent service, aspects of the game that he hopes will also come out against the Dominican Republic.
