CASTRIES, Saint Lucia, May 1, 2026. – Reigning Men’s Champions, Joseph Clercent/Sheldon Descartes finished undefeated on the opening day of the ECVA Beach Volleyball Championship, which kicked off on Friday May 1st at Cul-de-Sac Beach in Saint Lucia.
In Pool A, the Saint Lucian duo of Joseph Clercent/Sheldon Descartes secured victory against Tahj Jno Jules/J’den Robinson of Dominica 2-0 (21-15, 21-18).
Kittitians Juian Bristol and Elkreen Morton finished the day undefeated in Pool B, defeating Emmanuel Peter and Lindan Clarke of Saint Lucia 2-0 (21-19, 21-13) and Vincentians Ronaldo Franklyn and Jamaar Cropper also defeating the Saint Lucian duo Emmanuel/Clarke 2-0 (21-17, 26-24).
In Pool C, Benjamin Barnett and Sean Tucker of Bermuda defeated Dwight Bonnie and Raenor Sharpe of Antigua 2-0 (21-11, 21-18) and Yahn Florent and Mervin Mingo of Dominica defeated the Antiguan duo Bonnie/Sharpe 2-0 (21-12, 21-17).
In Pool D, Shreefkerk Jacob and Rajheem Meulens of Sint Maarten won their both games defeating Amani Richardson and Da’Quwan Fredericks of Anguilla 2-0 (21-9, 21-12) and Diallo Albert and Levi Leonce of Saint Lucia 2-0 (21-12, 21-18).
