April 21, 2026.- After helping Grand Rapids extend its win streak to four matches, outside hitter Carli Snyder is the latest Major League Volleyball Player of the Week presented by Franklin Sports. She is the third Rise player this season to earn weekly accolades.
The native of Macomb, Mich. led Grand Rapids to a pair of crucial four-set wins this past week against the league-leading Indy Ignite and the Columbus Fury to remain in the postseason race. Snyder finished the weekend with 32 kills (.270), 22 digs, and one ace. She recorded double-doubles in both matches with 17 kills (.359) and 11 digs against Indy, followed by a team-high 15 kills (.196) and 11 digs in Columbus.
Snyder has 15 matches with double-digit kills this season, including each of her last four outings, and has 11 double-doubles on the year. This marks her second career weekly award (2025). The win streak for Grand Rapids ties the franchise record, as the Rise have moved into fifth place in the MLV standings with three matches remaining after starting the season 3-9 overall.
Grand Rapids returns to action on Wednesday, April 22, hosting Atlanta followed by another home match with Orlando on Saturday, April 25.
