MORELOS, Mexico, August 7, 2026. – Ten national teams will compete for the title at the 19th Men’s Pan American Cup, to be held from August 9 to 16 at Poliforum 2 de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM) in Morelos, Mexico.
The 2026 edition follows a historic 2025 tournament, when Venezuela captured its first-ever Pan American Men’s Cup title by defeating Mexico in the championship match. . That triumph made Venezuela the seventh different country to win the tournament. Canada completed the podium after overcoming Chile in the bronze medal match
The ten participating teams are divided into two pools. Pool A features Canada, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States. Pool B includes Cuba, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and host Mexico. Pool play will be contested from August 9 to 13, followed by classification matches, quarterfinals, semifinals, and the medal matches on August 16.
Under the competition format, the winners of each pool advance directly to the semifinals, while the second- and third-place teams qualify for the quarterfinals. The remaining teams will compete in classification matches to determine the final standings.
The Men’s Pan American Cup continues to strengthen its position as one of the premier events on the continental volleyball calendar, providing national teams with valuable high-level competition as they continue their preparation for upcoming international events.
