SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, September 27, 2026.- Dominican Republic finished fifth at the Men’s U23 Pan American Cup after defeating El Salvador 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-19).
Serving and blocking were key to the Dominican victory, while their back-row attacks also proved effective in breaking through El Salvador’s block.
Dominican Republic finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, while El Salvador closed with one win and three losses.
The Dominicans led in every scoring category: 41-30 in attacks, 7-2 in blocks and 9-0 in aces. El Salvador committed 18 unforced errors and Dominican Republic 17.
Malik Britton was the match’s leading scorer with 19 points, followed by Antonio de Jesús with 15 and Cristofer Daniel Andujar with 11, including four blocks and two aces.
For El Salvador, Abner Cano was the only player to reach double figures, finishing with 12 points.
