TLAXCALA, Mexico, October 15, 2023 – FIVB President, Dr. Ary Graça, commended the organization of the 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Tlaxcala, Mexico, during a meeting with the President of the Mexican Volleyball Federation, Jesús Perales Navarro.

The highest volleyball world executive made an assessment of what Mexico represents as a Federation which has been highly positive for the FIVB, as it has demonstrated the capacity to successfully host international events, such as the World Junior Championships, stages of the Beach Volleyball World Tour, and, of course, the current World Championship in Tlaxcala, which is the first to be organized outside of the European continent in the past 20 years.

Dr. Graça emphasized the importance of Mexico as one of the six countries that participated in all the World Junior Volleyball Championships this year, highlighting the future and potential of its teams.

Therefore, for Dr. Graça, future events in Mexico are of great interest, with a focus on supporting the Mexican national teams with world-class coaching staff, as well as future international events to be held in Mexico and its Professional Volleyball League, all fueled by Mexico’s passionate fan base.

“Mexico is on the right path”, Dr. Graça commented. “It’s a work that requires a lot of patience, laying the foundation with the youth categories, and it’s of great interest to continue supporting Mexico’s volleyball” he added.
