CASTRIES, Saint Lucia, May 3, 2026. – Grenada struck gold as the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Senior Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship concluded on Sunday at Cul de Sac courts in Saint Lucia.
Grenada claimed the top spot on the podium, while hosts Saint Lucia and Dominica also secured medals.
The women’s gold‑medal match delivered a thrilling three‑set battle. Grenada’s Mitchell/Stafford edged Saint Lucia’s Phillip/Joseph 2–1, with a final scoreline of 18–21, 21–19, 15–10. After dropping the opening set, the Saint Lucian pair fought back to force a decider, but Grenada’s consistency in side‑out and composure under pressure carried them over the line.
Dominica’s Pascal/Burton secured the bronze medal with a hard‑fought 2–1 (21–15, 20–22, 15–8) victory over Saint Lucia’s Denila Prospere / Amalia Louis. The Dominican duo started strongly, weathered a spirited Saint Lucian response in the second set, and then took control in the tie‑breaker to clinch a place on the podium.
Over three days of intense competition from May 1–3, teams from across the ECVA region battled through pool play, knockout rounds, and medal matches, culminating in high‑energy finals before an engaged local crowd.
