SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, November 4, 2026. – The NORCECA/FIVB International Sports Excellence Center welcomed 35 coaches from 12 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean for the Level III International Volleyball Coaches Course, taking place from November 3 to 10 in Santo Domingo. The course was officially inaugurated in the presence of prominent volleyball authorities and international FIVB instructors.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ariel Sainz, First Vice President of the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA); Dr. Bernardo Mesa, Technical Director of Centro Caribe Sports; Amos Anglade, First Vice President of the Dominican Volleyball Federation (FEDOVOLI); Ángel Rivas, President of the National District Volleyball Association; and international instructors Luis Muchaga of Spain and Antonio Rizola of Brazil.
During his remarks, Ariel Sainz praised the work carried out by the NORCECA/FIVB International Sports Excellence Center, describing it as a global reference in coaching education and training programs.
He also highlighted the continued support of NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz for educational initiatives that contribute to volleyball development throughout the region and congratulated Professor Nelson José Ramírez for his leadership of the Center.
FIVB instructor Antonio Rizola emphasized the international recognition the institution has earned, reflected in the participation of coaches from different countries. He assured participants that, together with instructor Luis Muchaga, they would share their knowledge and experience to help strengthen the coaches’ technical skills.
Representing the Dominican Volleyball Federation, Amos Anglade expressed the pride the Dominican Republic takes in hosting this Center of Excellence, which has contributed over the years to the education and training of coaches and technical personnel involved in various areas of volleyball.
The Level III International Volleyball Coaches Course is part of the educational programs promoted by NORCECA and the FIVB, aimed at strengthening coaching education and advancing the technical development of volleyball.
