SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 4, 2026.- NORCECA’s sustained financial stability continues to strengthen the Confederation’s capacity to provide assistance and development resources to its National Federations and Zonal Associations, NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz highlighted during the 2026 NORCECA Finance Commission Virtual Meeting.
Marte said that following the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, when competitions were significantly limited and one of NORCECA’s main sources of income was affected, the Confederation has maintained strong financial performance over the past three years.
He emphasized that NORCECA has not only regained its pre-pandemic financial stability but is now performing above several of its strongest years, allowing the organization to increase its support for National Federations and volleyball development throughout the region.
Marte expressed optimism that NORCECA’s financial performance will continue to strengthen in 2026, particularly with the staging of major competitions, including the NORCECA Senior Continental Championships and the men’s and women’s Olympic Qualification Tournaments.
He also recognized AFECAVOL for organizing several continental age-group competitions and expressed his expectation that ECVA and CAZOVA will host continental age-group events in the future, helping expand competitive and development opportunities throughout NORCECA.
Finance Commission President Margareth Graham emphasized the importance of generating the resources necessary to sustain NORCECA and support its continued growth, while underscoring accountability as an essential component of the Confederation’s financial management. She also congratulated NORCECA’s finance staff for its work.
NORCECA Finance Director Olga Rivas presented the 2025 Annual Financial Report, including the Confederation’s financial statements, income, sports equipment inventory, development resources, financial assistance to the Zonal Associations and NORCECA’s financial evolution from 2001 through 2025.
The presentation also covered the 2026 budget and 2027 estimates, while the Commission reviewed NORCECA’s Development Plan and Financial Assistance.
The NORCECA 2025 Annual Financial Report is available on the NORCECA website, providing full details of the Confederation’s financial performance and allocation of resources.
Internal auditors Luz Adriana Escobar and Alberto Arreola presented the internal audit report. Commission members highlighted the clear and understandable presentation of the financial information, and the financial report was subsequently approved.
NORCECA Treasurer Wilbur Harrigan also praised the presentation and clarity of the financial report.
In her closing remarks, Graham thanked the members for their participation and commitment to NORCECA’s continued growth. She also recognized the accounting team led by Rivas, as well as the internal auditors, for their work and contribution to the Confederation’s financial accountability.
Marte reiterated that NORCECA’s objective is to continue strengthening its financial resources in order to provide greater assistance and development opportunities to its National Federations and Zonal Associations.
