United States easily surpasses Canada

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 20, 2023.- The United States team easily dominated Canada in straight sets (25-16, 25-11, 25-15) in the second clash of this third edition of the Cup Pan American NORCECA Final Six that is held at the “Ricardo Arias” National Volleyball Pavilion.

The United States attack was led by Taylor Mims with 16 points, while Danielle Hart and Sarah Parsons added 11 and 10 points respectively. For the Canadians, the best were Sydney Grills with 10 units and Gabrielle Attieh with 7.

The Americans outscored the Canadians in spikes 43-25 and in blocks 8-5.

Brad Rostratter, United States coach: Our team played very well, we were able to execute our plays and move all the players and definitely the crowd atmosphere here makes you go all out.

Carolyn O’Dwyer, coach of Canada: I think we got better as the match progressed which is very good we have to make some adjustments in our game, the serve was not good today, we made a lot of mistakes but hopefully we will be better tomorrow.
