For Canada, Logan King paced the offense with eight points, followed by Emerson Matthews and Carmen Waye, who finished with seven points apiece.

Tama Miyashiro, United States head coach: “I think it was another exciting match for us. We had a good game plan, and these young women take it very seriously every time they wear the USA jersey. Canada is a strong team, but we were able to figure them out and finish the match.”

Matthew Krueger, Canada head coach: “I think the United States played very strongly today. They applied pressure right from the start, and it took us some time to figure out their game. Once we did, we showed that we are a team capable of competing with the best. I’m very proud of my team. These athletes proved throughout the tournament that they can compete against the world’s top teams. We earned our first medal in this event—not the one we wanted, but an achievement is still an achievement.”
