Four slots up for bids at Continental World Championship Qualifier

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, June 6, 2023.- The NORCECA Continental Beach Volleyball World Championship qualifier has lined up the Confederation’s top teams set to compete in Punta Cana June 7-8 for four slots per gender up for bids to the FIVB 2023 World Championship to be held in October at Tlaxcala, Mexico.

NORCECA mourns the loss of Guido Salvo

SANTO DOMINGO, 6 de junio de 2023.- NORCECA is saddened to learn about the loss of Guido Alberto Salvo Pelleiro, former President of the National Volleyball Federation of Uruguay.

Guido Salvo presided Uruguay Volleyball from 2016 to 2021 and was member of the South American Volleyball Confederation, from where he supported and collaborated with NORCECA in organizing numerous Pan American Cups and Multisports Events that have united both Confederations.

NORCECA and president Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz express their deepest condolences to his respected family and to the Uruguayan volleyball family.

Brandie and Melissa set to make first semifinal appearance

OSTRAVA,  Czech Republic, June 3, 2023.- Canadians Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes are ready to fight for their first international medal after just three events together as they continued their impeccable run at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite16 event in Ostrava, Czechia, on Saturday with another win and are now set to compete in the semifinals of the tournament on Sunday.

OSTRAVA, Czech Republic, May 31, 2023.- American men duos of Trevor Crabb & Theodore Brunner and Miles Partain & Andrew Benesh, USA’s Terese Cannon & Sarah Sponcil and Canada’s Melissa Humana-Paredes & Brandie Wilkerson in women, earned a spot in the main draw at the 2023 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite16 event in Ostrava that got underway on Wednesday with the qualification brackets.
